Our Values & Beliefs

WHAT WE BELIEVE

• We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God and is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and godly living (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21)
• God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He has eternally existed in three personalities: and manifested to man as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God (Genesis 1:1,26,27; 3:22; Psalm 19:20, Isaiah 43:10,11; Matt 28:19)
• Jesus Christ is the Son of God, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all men by dying on a cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven's glory and will return again to earth to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords (Matt 1:18; Luke 1:26-27; John 1:1,14; 1 Tim 2:5, Revelation 19:16)
• The Holy Spirit is the third Person of the Trinity. The Holy Spirit lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation. We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit and in the Ministry of the Holy Spirit to glorify Christ, convict men of sin, righteousness and judgment and to empower the believer (John 15:26; 16:8, 14; Acts 1:8)
• Man is made in the spiritual image of God, to be like Him in character and ministry He is the supreme object of God's creation. Although man has tremendous potential for good, he is marred by an attitude of disobedience toward God called "sin." This attitude separates man from God.  (Gen. 1:26-31; 3:1-7; Rom 5:12-21)
• Salvation is a gift from God to man. Man can never make up for his sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God's offer of forgiveness can man be saved from sin's penalty. Eternal life begins the moment one receives Jesus Christ into his life by faith (Rom. 6:23, Eph. 2:8-10)
• Man was created to exist forever. He will either exist eternally separated from God by sin, or in union with God, through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is Hell. To be eternally in union with Him is eternal life. Heaven and Hell are places of eternal existence. (John 3:16; I John 2:25 & 5:11-13; Romans 6:23; Revelation 20:15)
• We believe in heterosexual relationships between a natural man and a natural woman within the confines of holy matrimony.
  
  

OUR VALUES

• Every member is a full time minister (Ephesians 4:16; 2 Corinthians 5:18; Luke 17:21)
• Walking in love with God and one another (Ephesians 5:1-2; 1 Corinthians 13)
• Prayer is at the heart of Christian living and advances the purposes of God (john 15:7; Romans 8:26-27; Isaiah 59:16)
• We are to be faithful stewards of God’s resources (Luke 6:38; Malachi 3:10)
• Being relevant to our culture (1 Corinthians 9:22,23)
• Having a spirit of excellence, always doing our very best for God (Daniel 6:3)
• Living a life of integrity and in developing godly character (Matthew 5:8)
• Life-change takes place through small groups (Acts 2:46; Proverbs 27:17)
• Leadership is determined by servanthood & influence (Luke 22:26-27; Mark 10:43)
• Marriage and family are God-ordained and we are to live according to Biblical family values (Ephesians 5:22-33; Colossians 3:18-21)
